24-meter IMC® double-articulated bus at Busworld fair in Kortrijk




From October 20-25 2017, representatives of the international bus industry will meet up at the Busworld fair in Kortrijk, Belgium. The first 24-meter EXQUI.CITY to be configured as an IMC® electric bus will be on show on the booth of Belgian manufacturer Van Hool (booth 601 in hall 2).

Double-articulated electric buses with IMC® technology for Austria




Operators LINZ AG LINIEN recently presented their first 24-meter electric bus. The bus is one of 20 double-articulated e-buses with In Motion Charging (IMC®) technology to be supplied by Kiepe Electric. The buses are to replace the existing trolley bus fleet in Linz and bring an almost 30% increase in capacity to 180 passengers per vehicle. Replacement of the entire fleet is due to be completed by the end of 2019.

Knorr-Bremse: Subsidiaries Kiepe Electric and IFE to refurbish Vienna Stadtbahn mass transit cars




Operators Wiener Linien GmbH & Co KG have commissioned Kiepe Electric and IFE to refurbish 78 Stadtbahn cars for mass transit in Vienna. The measures will bring the cars into line with current technology and ensure that they continue to provide safe, reliable, customer-oriented service for many years to come.

IMC® electric buses on trend in the USA: Kiepe Electric to supply 185 systems for San Francisco




The City of San Francisco is expanding its fleet of zero emission transit buses: After procuring 93 articulated Xcelsior XT60 electric buses, San Francisco Municipal Transit Agency (SFMTA) have placed an order for 185 New Flyer XT40 buses equipped with In Motion Charging (IMC) technology from Kiepe Electric – now one of the leading suppliers of traction systems for electric buses in the USA.
